This consultation is for a new client who has never been to VANityGUARD.
Color consultation
This consultation is for an existing client that is considering a big color change or has not been to the salon in 6 months or more.
Texture consultation
This consultation is for clients that are considering a change in the shape of their hair via perm, keratin treatment or relaxer.
Extension Consultation
This consultation is for clients that are considering extensions and have questions.
Prescriptive home care consultation
This consultation is to asses scalp and fiber issues to prescibe the approprite at home care regimen for best results.
Virtual consultation
This is a consultation offered to provide prescriptive care reccommendations as well as styling support and supplementary post service support. We prefer color consultations be done in person so that we can asses the hair structure and test it for structural integrity.
Conditioning TREATMENTS
Clarifying Treatments
CRYSTAL GEL TREATMENT
A deep clarifying treatment that removes discoloration and impurities from deep within the core of the hair structure such as calcium, magnesium, iron, lead, copper, chlorine, and other contaminants leaving it in optimal condition. This treatment allows for hair color and conditioning treatments to be absorbed into the fiber without interference.
DETOXIFYING TREATMENT
A gentle, clay treatment that uses heat and activated carbon to remove environmental impurities such as smog, and metals from the hair and scalp. These microscopic pollutants can be absorbed by the hair and contribute to cellular and structural break down causing breakage of the hair, dehydration and/or issues on the scalp.
Reconstruction Treatments
INTENSIVE RECONSTRUCTION TREATMENT
A shock treatment that works in the core of the the hair and replenishes the building blocks of proteins which are amino acids sourced from plant proteins that have the ability to reconstruct the hair.

We require a preliminary consultation for new color clients to the salon. This will allow us to asses the characteristics and history of the hair, skin tones, screen for allergies and plan the appropriate timing for the color service. Keratin treatments
Keratin Treatments are designed to temporarily smooth the hair and make it more managable. For the best results, your relationship with your salon professional is a partnership. We’re here to provide your services and recommend products and practices for care that best support your services. Following those recommendations between visits helps to maintain your results.
General Haircare
Cleanse the hair with a a recommended clarifying shampoo as needed.
Use the recommended ALFAPARF products with targeted technology for your unique hair and scalp condition.
Apply shampoo to the scalp only and manipulate the scalp with the pads of your fingers.
Never scrub the scalp with your fingernails.
Never use hotwater to cleanse the hair.Use lukewarm to cool water for the cleansing portion of your at home care regimen. the cooler the better.
Shampoo a second time if there are no suds (no suds means its removing the oil).
Wring out excess water from the hair before applying the recommended conditioner.
Leave conditioners in 1-3 minutes.
Leave masks in 5 minutes.
Use as cold of water as possible for the final rinse.
Flat iron according to the following recommendations based on hair texture and characteristics of the hair.
Fine and or Fragile / Bleached / Proocessed:

Pre-Service Recommendations Daily care products 10 - 14 days prior to your peel will prepare the skin, allow for better treatment results, and reduce the risk of complications.
If you are lactating, pregnant, or may be pregnant, consult your OB/GYN before receiving any treatment.
Do not go to a tanning bed two weeks prior to treatment. This practice should be discontinued due to the
increased risk of skin cancer and signs of aging.
It is recommended that extended sun exposure be avoided, especially in the 10 days prior to treatment.
It is recommended to delay use of tretinoin, Retin-A®, Renova®, Differin®, Tazorac®, Avage®, EpiDuo®, Ziana®, and high-percentage AHA and BHA products for approximately five days prior to treatment. Consult your physician before temporarily discontinuing use of any prescription medications.
Post-Service Recommencations day 1 &2Stay as cool as possible. Overheating internally can cause hyperpigmentation.
Do not put the treated area directly into a hot shower spray.
Do not use hot tubs, steam rooms, or saunas.
Do not go swimming.
Do not participate in activities that would cause excessive perspiration.

If you would like to apply makeup, allow approximately 15 minutes for the pH of the skin to stabilize before applying foundation.
Post-Service Recommendations General After receiving a PCA SKIN® professional treatment, you should not necessarily expect to “peel.” However, light flaking in a few localized areas for several days is typical. Most patients who undergo these treatments have residual redness for approximately one to 12 hours post-procedure.
As with all peels and treatments, it is recommended that makeup not be applied the day of treatment,
To minimize side effects and maximize results, use The Post-Procedure Solution for three to five days or until flaking has resolved.
If the skin feels tight, apply ReBalance for normal to oily skin types or Collagen Hydrator for drier skin types to moisturize as needed. For maximum hydration, you can apply Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum under ReBalance.
Moisturizer should be applied at least twice a day, but can be applied more frequently for hydration and to decrease the appearance of flaking.
It is recommended that other topical, over-the-counter medications, or alpha hydroxy acid products not be applied to the skin seven days post-procedure, as they may cause irritation.

Mid-level stylists with more experience charge mid-range prices starting at 45.00 and up. Senior stylists with advanced skills charge $60 per hour and up.
